The good stuff just keeps on rolling in. This week we received some long-awaited and much-anticipated cars from Revell-Monogram along with new items from Scalextric. The RM items, of course, are the 4 new 60’s revivals. That’s right, 4; the Cooper-Cobra, Porsche 904, and the Chaparral 2 in two versions, the #66 car of Jim Hall and the #65 of Hap Sharp. Here they are: 
85-4880 Porsche 904, Sebring 1966 $44.99. This car was driven by George Follmer, whose career eventually included championships in the CanAm, TransAm, and USRRC, and, in one of his earliest race appearances, the legendary Peter Gregg.

C1197T Digital Driver set $249.99 This may be the best digital set yet for kids and beginners. The cars are the new high-impact Minis with one-piece body shells. They have painted-on windows and no interior tub, which makes them both lighter, for better performance, and supremely crashworthy. Learning digital racing involves a lot of crashing, bumping, and banging, and these cars are ideal for getting through that learning phase before going on to more detailed but more delicate cars. C1201T Digital Super GT set $399.99 This one comes with three lighted GT cars, a Viper, an Aston Martin, and a Porsche. It includes everything you need for you and two of your friends to race into the darkness just like they often do in the American LeMans Series. The system can be expanded for more cars and drivers, too. Also in from Scalextric: 
C2785 TransAm Jaguar, Michael Lewis, 2005 $47.99 The TransAm Jaguars are about as aggressive looking as any car on the track and Scalextric’s models are outstanding performers right out of the box.
