Along with 38 other racers, Chad Raynal and his 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 took to the track, ready to compete in the Group 9A – 1966-1971 Historic Trans-Am Cars race. The competition was tough but the Camaro proved to be a strong competitor and finished in second place, only 0.047 seconds behind Jim Hague in his AMC Javelin.

It’s really only a race until you know who won—there’s information on the new Scalextric app system that shows the race winner, total laps and lap times for each car, with pit stops and other race information on your tablet or smartphone. You can set up you races for specific racing classes using some of examples sown in this issue.
There are full reports on the prototypes’ racing background, specifications and the performance and details of the 1/32 scale models of the 1961 Ferrari TR61 LeMans Winner, 1965 Ferrari 275P, 1967 Lola T70 Mk.III, 1969 Trans-Am Camaro Z/28, 1969 Trans-Am Mustang Boss 302, 1981 Mustang Zakspeed Group 5, 1994 Alfa Romeo 155 TI DTM and 2012 SRT Viper GTS-R. There are plans so you can assemble a 2-Lane version of the 2-Lane Jerez Circuit on a 5 x 9-foot and on a 13 x 13-foot tabletop using snap-together plastic track. There is also a racetrack plan for an HO scale AFX 4-Lane Jerez Circuit on a 4-x8 foot tabletop.
