McLaren CanAm kitbash update:
Last week, you’ll recall, we had all the body modifications done and the body in primer. Now, we have the basic body color on the car. We used Testor Boyd Red enamel. The black strip at the top of the spoiler was painted black and masked off before we sprayed the red on. You can see several small pieces of masking tape still on the body. These are covering up small areas of flat black that won’t be uncovered until all the painting, decaling, and clear coating is done.
And here’s the finished running chassis, painted black and clear coated to cover all the white styrene used in modifying the chassis and give it an appearance closer to that of a factory-stock chassis.
