The famous crocodile livery of one of Pheonix Racing’s Audi R8s (the other depicting a kangaroo) proved to be a head turner at the annual Bathurst 12 hour endurance race in 2015 at Mount Panorama. Scalextric C3731 AMC Javelin – SCCA Trans-Am. Watkins Glen 1971—PRE-ORDER NOW!
On 15th August in Watkins Glen, the AMC Javelin took its place on the starting grid of Round 9 on the 1971 Trans Am series, behind the Mustang Boss of George Follmer. The Javelin, driven by Mark Donohue, overtook the Mustang during the race to take the win. This continued a dominating season for Donohue in which he won 7 out 10 races and ultimately the Championship.

Driver: Jim Richards
The 28th Australian Touring Car Championship, which started at the Calder Park Raceway and concluded at Oran Park, was won by Jim Richards in 1987, racing for his team JPS Team BMW. After winning four out of nine rounds, Jim claimed the win with this BMW M3.
The first race of the season was particularly noteworthy as it saw the world debut of the racing versions of the BMW M3, Ford Sierra RS Cosworth and Alfa Romeo 75 Turbo.

The Daytona 24hr is the first and longest races of the TUDOR United Sports Car Championship season. It sees over 50 cars from four separate classes battle for 24 hours, all for the coveted Rolex Daytona watch. The 53rd edition of the historic race was also the first race for the 2015 United Sports Car Championship season. Victory on the day went to the Number 2 Team Chip Ganassi Racing car with Scott Dixon, Tony Janaan, Jamie McMurray and Kyle Larson behind the wheel. Together they completed 740 laps, which totals an astonishing 2,634 miles!

| These are the cars to be produced from new tools: 1970 Trans-Am Javelin, 2014 Ford Daytona Prototype, 1988 BMW M3 E30, Australian Ford XY GT-HO Falcon, 2014 BMW Mini F56, Ford Sierra RS500, Australian Ford XC Falcon and four new BTCC cars; Honda Civic, BMW 125, MG6 and VW Passat. Note that all these new car bodies are designed to accept the optional PCR chassis so you can use Slot.it pods and drive trains. There’s a two-car 007 Spectre 2017 Aston Martin DB10 and 2017 Jaguar C-X75 set. There’s also a 2014 ‘Street” Camaro but the Camaro is only available in a set with a 2013 C6R Corvette, track, transformer and controllers. The 1969 (1970 with 1969 deco, as the previous version) red/black/white Trans-Am Mustang (and the no.9 Sunoco Camaro) are also coming but only in a complete race track set. There are also about 40 more cars with new deco. |
