Cartrix 0945 Lancia D50 #26 Monaco 1955—PRE-ORDER NOW!

1955 was last your that Lancia would compete in Grand Prix races. For 1956 all of the Lancia D50 Grand Prix cars were donated to Ferrari to become Ferrari D50 cars. Ferrari modified the cars slightly but retained the separate side fuel tanks until early in the 1956 season when the tanks were faired into the body like those on the Cartrix Ferrari D50 models. This is the most famous Lancia D50 because it was driven by Alberto Ascari who crashed over the railing and into the Monaco harbor during the 1955 Grand Prix. He was recovered in a few minutes but crashed fatally during in practice for the Monza sports car race the following week. The model is numbered to match the car as it raced during practice for the 1955 Monaco Grand Prix.
