IMPORTANT: This dongle is suitable for operation with oXigen but it is not ready to be used.
It requires some preliminary operations before using: programming and activation.
oXigen dongle
The E104-BT5040U model of the dongle comes pre-programmed with firmware suitable for operation with the Slot.it oXigen digital system. This PC USB hardware serves for race direction and software updates for the car chip, radio cartridge for SCP2 controller, and CRI.
What can you do with this dongle?
• Manage oXigen races using the Chrono RMS program with release 4.x.
• Handle oXigen device features with the Bootloader program with release 4.x.
• Update the firmware of legacy oXigen devices (SCP2 oXigen cartridge, B1 type car chip) within the 4.x releases.
• Utilize it with oXigen devices exclusively updated to oXigen version 4.x.
What can you NOT do with this dongle?
• It cannot be used with Chrono RMS and Bootloader programs with release 3.x.
• It cannot update the firmware of legacy oXigen devices (oXigen SCP2 cartridge, Type B1 car chip) within the 3.x releases.
• It cannot migrate the firmware of legacy oXigen devices (oXigen SCP2 cartridge, type B1 car chip) from versions 3.x to 4.x and vice versa.
License information
Each dongle requires a unique non-transferable license based on its ID, referred to as MAC.
The license code is exclusively bound to the dongle's MAC value and is not applicable to other devices.

TO ACTIVATE THE OXIGEN 4.0 DONGLE, please follow these steps:

Purchase the Dongle: Acquire the dongle either from your preferred retail channel or online. Online purchases should be made under the model name E104-BT5040U 2.4 GHz. Please note that online support, if required, will be facilitated by the seller.

Update the oXigen Bootloader: Ensure your oXigen bootloader is up to date. Then, connect the newly acquired dongle and install the latest 4.1x version on it.

Obtain the oXigen License: Upon installation, the bootloader will prompt you for a license code based on the MAC address of your device, which you can find displayed on-screen or as a QR code. Please email us the MAC address, and we will provide the corresponding license file once the license fee is paid for. In the future, this process will be streamlined through our own app.

The activation code will be provided via email following the instructions outlined in the item description on eBay.
For non-EU customers:

- You will receive a pro forma invoice from PayPal, after which you can proceed with payment using PayPal or a credit card.
To keep in mind
The oxigen 4 version maintains compatibility with the old (discontinued) dongle while offering improved performance with the new O204b dongle, sold separately without firmware. The O204b dongle is suitable for operation with oXigen version 4 only and not the older version 3. It cannot be used to upgrade older oXigen devices from version 3.xx to version 4.xx.
For users using the oXigen system in version 4.xx, the O204b dongle is the recommended choice.
