Ken Miles and Lloyd Ruby drove this Shelby American Ford GT40 Mk. II to victory at the very first 24 Hours of Daytona in 1966. The car was equipped with a huge 7-liter Ford V8. The 1966 championship was a big one for Ford with a 1-2-3 win at Daytona. The Shelby Mk. II of Dan Gurney and Jerry Grant came in second and the Mk. IIof Walt Hansgen and Mark Donohue came in third.
