This Cobra is modeled with the "LeMans" semi-fastback hardtop that was fitted to the earliest Cobra Le Mans entries around 1963. One such car, driven by Ninian Sanderson and Peter Bolton, succeeded in finishing the 24-hour race in 1963 despite being essentially a stock road car with very minimal race preparation.

This car uses the MRRC/Monogram Sebring chassis.  The Sebring chassis is an excellent universal 1/32 scale chassis for use with body kits and for scratchbuilding projects. It can be set up to handle well in both magnet and non-magnet racing. It has an adjustable wheelbase and is compact enough to fit almost any sports car, GT, or sedan body and to allow the use of wide wheels ad tires within even a relatively modest body width.
