1/32nd scale. Resin body. Hand-made in Le Mans, France.
Scale reproduction of the Ferrari 250 TR58 No. 16 that took part in the 1958 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is one of the 11 Ferraris entered in the race and like cars No. 12 and No. 14, it was entered by the official Ferrari team.
The No. 16, which is also left-hand drive, has some subtleties, particularly in terms of the brake air intakes at the front on each side of the grille, which are thinner than on the other 2. The protrusion of the front hood of the No. 16 is teardrop-shaped, while it is triangular for the No. 12 and 14. The connection of the rear wings to the front of the car has also been remodeled on the No. 16 only.
The first hours of the race are marked by a traditional sprint here between the Aston Martin of Stirling Moss and the 250 TR58 n°16 Wolfgang von Trips. It plays on equal terms with the race leader by oscillating between 3rd and 4th places.
Shortly after midnight Wolfgang Seidel goes out at Arnage. At the end of the spin the car stops in the mud and he is unable to get it out. It retires at the ninth hour while it was in 3rd position in the previous hour.
