This is the fourth entered car by Matra at LeMans in 1973, driven by Patrick Depailler. It did not finish the race and is the only one of the sister cars to retire after 85 laps. Its body configuration, with a short front nose, a long rear tail and a wider wing gives it a special look and makes it different from the 3 other MS670B Matras numbers 10,11 and 12.
