A NOTE ON MOTOR COMPATIBILITY WITH DIGITAL SYSTEMS

As a general rule any of the 18K stock Scalextric motors will be compatible with Sport digital, since Scalextric uses the same stock motors in both its conventional and digital cars.  In fact, hopup motors will also run on a digital track, except for one little problem.  They draw more amperage, and if you get several of them running on a digital track at the same time they will fight each other and the lane changers for the available power.  What's worse, you can pull enough total amperage through the system to blow some of the circuitry.  Stock motors, however, shouldn't be a problem.  It's only when you get into the motors from the C8400 series or higher-amp motors from other manufacturers that the motors become a problem.
