SCX / Scalextric Spain

The history of SCX is complicated. The company started in 1962, making Scalextric branded cars under license for the Spanish market. By 1966 they had started producing their own slot cars, still under a mutual arrangement with Scalextric.

In 1992 ties between the two companies were severed and the Spanish concern started to brand it's export products as SCX, though it continues to this day to brand its products as Scalextric for the Spanish market. Scalextric products were rebranded as Superslots for sale in Spain.
