Leyton House, a Japanese real estate company, purchased the March team in 1989 and continued with drivers Ivan Capelli and Maurício Gugelmin. Driving this livery in 1990, Gugelmin finished 18th in the Drivers’ Championship. Over the course of the season, he had 3 top 10 finishes, with the highlight being 6th place at the Belgian Grand Prix.
