Scalextric C3001 1970 Camaro, Warren Agor (C)
1/32 scale slot car. Ready to run on all 1/32 scale non-digital slot car tracks. Digital plug ready. Accepts C8515 plug-in digital chip. 1970 Camaro #13, as driven by Warren Agor. This car is believed to be the third Chaparral factory team car that Chevrolet gave Jim Hall to build into a race car.
After leaving the Penske Racing team in 1968, Warren Agor formed Agor Racing Enterprises. As a race car owner, builder, and driver he set many track records and won numerous SCCA and IMSA races including the 25th Trans-Am race victory for the Chevrolet Camaro at Sanair International raceway in Canada (the only race track in the world with a name that sounds like the naming rights have been bought by a garbage collection company or a room deodorizer manufacturer). Agor, of Rochester, New York, bought the car from Marshall Robbins in late 1971. He changed the color to Hugger Orange and the number to 13. Hoselton Chevrolet sponsored the car for the three years that Agor drove it. At the time of his retirement from racing in 1973, he had accumulated more points than any then-active professional driver participating in the Trans-Am series. Agor now runs a company providing mobility solutions for the disabled.

The third and fourth cars in the Limited Edition Scalextric 60th Anniversary series are here. They only made a few, so order yours now.
Scalextric C3828A 60th Anniversary no. 3-1980s, Audi Sport quattro S1 E2 Limited Ed.
Scalextric 60th Anniversary Collection – 1980s, Audi Sport quattro S1 E2 Limited Edition First issued in 1984 the original Scalextric Audi Quattro proved to be as big a hit on the Scalextric tracks of the nation as the original had been screaming through Scandinavian forests. The 1980s saw Scalextric move into ever more inventive areas, with items such as ‘Blowout!’ and Racing Rigs bringing new excitement to the brand. Group B rally cars featured heavily as Ayrton Senna made his Scalextric debut towards the end of the decade in a JPS Lotus, alongside Mansell in a Williams.
The Audi Sport quattro S1 E2 itself was introduced at the end of the 1985 as an update to the Audi Sport quattro; with the car sporting an inline turbo charged 5-cylinder engine. In addition to the improved power output, an aggressive aerodynamic kit was added that featured very distinctive wings and spoilers to the front and rear of the car to increase downforce. The S1 E2 did find some success with Walter Röhrl and Christian Geistdörfer winning the 1985 San Remo Rally, but with the Group B era coming to an end in 1986 after a series of tragic incidents, the quattro was consigned first to the Rallycross tracks, and then the history books.

Scalextric C3829A 60th Anniversary Collection no.4-1990s, BMW E30 M3 Limited Ed.
Scalextric C3829A 60th Anniversary Collection – 1990s, BMW E30 M3 Limited Edition
As Scalextric moved into the 1990s it followed another shift in motorsport. Throughout the 1980s rallying and Group B had dominated the airwaves and press, but as that declined, touring car racing, most notably Super Touring, took its place. As the BTCC, DTM and other national series gained in popularity, Scalextric began producing these cars.
One manufacturer above others dominated this form of motorsport, BMW. Although production of the BMW M3 E30 started in the ‘80s it saw considerable success in the early ‘90s, winning the BTCC title in 1990 and 1991, along with numerous DTM, Italia Superturismo Championships and Australian races. It also enjoyed considerable success in the rally category.
As the decade moved on, the BMW M3 E30 was to be found racing in lesser series and is even now a common club racing saloon car; as well as being an icon all other performance saloons aspire to. Other new items introduced in the ‘90s by Scalextric were the horse racing sets, as well as various cars driven by the greats of the era: Senna, Schumacher and Hill, all immortalised by Scalextric. With design moving to CAD rather than pattern making and 2D drawing, Scalextric was rapidly accelerating towards the 21st century.

Four more slot cars from the 2017 Scalextric line are here now, including the cartoon deco VW Campervan.
Scalextric C3891 Volkswagen Campervan
To ferry parts across the massive VW factory, stripped down Beetles were turned into “transporters”. Ben Pon, a Dutch VW importer, thought this was a great idea and in 1947 sketched his idea of a Beetle based van. Two years later it was launched at the Geneva Motor Show as the modern equivalent to the horse and cart.

Scalextric C3877 McLaren P1, Grey
The McLaren P1 is a limited production plug-in hybrid sports car by British manufacturer McLaren Automotive. The concept car debuted at the 2012 Paris Motor Show. Deliveries to retail customers began in the UK in October 2013. The entire P1 production of 375 units was sold out by November 2013. The production run ended in December 2015. It is considered to be the long-awaited successor to the McLaren F1, utilizing hybrid power and Formula 1 technology. It does not have the same three seat layout as its predecessor. The design of the headlights is very similar to the shape of the McLaren logo. Just like the McLaren F1 road car of 1992, the McLaren P1 is a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive design that uses a carbon fibre monocoque and roof structure safety cage concept called MonoCage, which is a development of the MonoCell used in the current MP4-12C and MP4-12C Spider upgrade that came out in early 2012.

All six of the Gulf Team mechanics and driver Jackie Ickx are here to populate your pit scenes. Each is hand-painted cast resin.
FLM132020 Jacky Ickx.
There is no more famous endurance racing driver than Jacky Ickx. With 6 LeMans victories he is a legendary figure in motorsports history. He is modeled here as he looked when he won his first LeMans victory in 1969. Yes, we know that’s not the correct car for the occasion and yes, we know his name is properly spelled “Jacky”, not “Jackie”, and so does LMM. He was wearing a driving unifom on which the name had been embriodered incorrectly… so don’t e-mail us.

Scalextric has finalized the paint scheme on the seventh (and final) car in their 60th anniversary series. You’ll want them all (the C3826A E-Type Jaguar and C3827A Lancia Stratos are also coming this fall) and this 250F Maserati is likely to be the most desirable because it is (by chance) painted in the official United States of America blue on white racing colors. It is due in October so you can pre-order it now.
Scalextric C3825A 60th Anniversary Collection – 1950s, Maserati 250F Limited Edition—PRE-ORDER NOW
Scalextric 60th Anniversary Collection – 1950s, Maserati 250F Limited Edition
Launched in 1957, Scalextric was the brain child of Bertram ‘Fred’ Francis, the talented inventor behind a range of mechanical tin toys. The first Scalextric cars were tin too and powered by a small electric motor, instead of the more common clockwork cars of the time. This new toy took off and by 1958 Francis had sold his idea to Tri-ang, who looked to invest. Tri-ang produced newer cars in plastic and the range of vehicles offered started to expand.
The very first car released by Scalextric in 1957 was the Maserati 250F, then the car to have in Grand Prix racing with Juan Manuel Fangio scoring his legendary final win in one at the 1957 German Grand Prix. In this race he overcome a 48 second deficit in just 22 laps and broke the lap record 10 times in one race. The very first Scalextric set featured two of these cars and perfectly captured both the glamour and beauty of motor racing cars of the period. The 250F was phased out of F1 racing shortly afterwards, but remains one of the most iconic and beautiful F1 cars of all time, a shining testament to the bravery of the early F1 World Championship competitors.
