LOOK WHAT’S NEW FOR 2015!

Most of the model car racing manufacturers introduce the products that will be shipped in 2015 at the Nuremburg International Toy Fair in early February. We’ll have more information in next week’s newsletter but we do know what Scalextric will have for 2015. As soon as part numbers are available we will have the cars listed on the website—click on the right sidebar heading “Future Releases”, then click on “New Releases 2015 Scalextric”, so you can Pre-Order to be the first to get yours (and to avoid missing any of the limited production items). These are the all-new cars but there are dozens more with new paint schemes:

The two Scalextric BMW Z4 GT race cars and the two McLaren P1 street cars will be fitted with a high-performance chassis for 2015 called PCR. The PCR chassis has a Slot.it anglewinder motor pod, motor, gears and wheels with plug-in electrical connections and the chassis are Digital Plug Ready so you can also plug-in the Scalextric C8515 Digital Plug to convert the car to Scalextric Digital.

The 1969 Sunoco #6 Trans-Am Camaro is coming back with a DPR-ready chassis for quick conversion to Digital.

The LeMans regulations specified a tall glass windshield. With a lower windshield the Lola Mk.I was the last of the successful front-engined 1100cc sports cars in America and in Europe, beating the Lotus 11s and Coopers. Charles Voegele and Peter Ashdown drove this car at LeMans in 1960 but retired in the 19th hour with a blown engine.
