father’s Revell!”
Revell’s 2006 product line includes:
— The new Drift Masters line features die-cast models, radio-controlled
vehicles and slot cars. Drifting is an exciting new genre of racing
born in the mountains and canyons of Japan that’s now becoming popular
stateside. The Drift Masters line, the result of a partnership with
drifting pioneer RJ DeVera, features vehicles with a lack of traction
in the rear tires, which enables the “drifting” action.
— Top Dog Downhill Dragstrip delivers the excitement of drag racing with
authentic countdown lights, roaring engine sounds, split second timer
and a steep vertical challenge. Two racers face a head to head
challenge as their cars speed down 12′ of track through the finish
gate and the first car to cross the finish line is identified in the
split second timer. Players can challenge one another or play alone
to find out which car in the fleet is the fastest. Top Dog Downhill
Dragstrip comes with two cars, but works with almost any 1:64 scale
cars. Batteries and AC adapter are not included.
— Switchback Racer introduces a new concept in slot car racing,
combining the elements of skill, chance, and strategy into live racing
action with video game quality graphics. Two cars meet at the
starting gate and as soon as the green light flashes the racing and
excitement begins! Each driver will faces challenges and obstacles
that requires spilt-second decision making, and with a route that
constantly changes the cars will embark on an adventure over hills,
though winding roads, changing traffic lights and into the dreaded
Switchback tunnel. No longer just about speed, Switchback Racer
challenges skill, decision making and strategy and gives players the
option to race against one another, race against time or number of
laps.
— The Large line is a collection of die-cast vehicles bearing the art of
renowned graffiti artist Swank One. Each Cadillac Escalade, Dodge
Magnum, Dodge Charger, and Chrysler 300 comes complete with one-of-a-
kind scissor doors and true street style, as well as Swank One’s stamp
of approval — his signature on the box.
— The latest models in the Lowrider Club line include models of the
‘58 Chevy and ‘64 Chevy lowrider vehicles built by Roberto Espinoza of
the Imperials Car Club, a foremost expert in lowrider building.
