Scalextric High-impact Cars

The bodies on these cars are one solid molded plastic part. There are no clear windows or interior. The windows are simply painted onto the body shell. This crates a light, strong, extremely crashworthy car that is ideal for small children, beginners, and "knocking around" cars. These cars are fast, fun, good-looking, and easy to drive. They're great to bring out for your non-racer guests to play with and get their first taste of model car racing. They are also ideal for public demonstrations and promotional use or any sitiation for which you need especially rugged, durable cars that will stand up to a lot of use and abuse. These cars are inexpensive so if your kids do beat one to death now and then you can afford to replace it.

All you have to do to these cars to give them excellent grip on Scalextric Sport track is to sand the rear tires to ensure that the whole width of the tire is making contact with the track surface.  This can be done easily right on the track by spinning the rear tires on a piece of 150 to 200 grit sandpaper.  Be careful not to overheat the car's motor.  Also, be sure to keep both the tires and the track surface clean and dust-free.  A good way to do this is to wipe down the track surface with a damp cloth before running your cars and to keep a damp sponge at the drivers' position for cleaning the tires.
